Today is a large part of the primary process on the Republican side. Florida and Ohio are “Winner-Take-All” states, where whoever has the highest popular vote will receive all of the delegates from those states. Florida is worth 99 delegates (about 4% of the total delegates nation wide) and Ohio is worth 66 (~2.7% of the total). Republicans have a few “Winner-Take-All” states with the idea of eliminating weaker candidates and solidifying the base behind one common candidate. Democrats do not use “Winner-Take-All” primaries and instead have all of their primaries proportioned out by percent of the vote they receive. Both systems have strengths and weaknesses. Which do you think is better?
